The seemingly endless rocky desert of Malpaís de la Corona harbours a strange surprise.
Lanzarote, entirely clad in gloomy blacks, fiery reds and molten ochres, bares a shoulder of silken, bright white dunes at la Caleta del Mojón Blanco. This is close to being the far edge of the world though, so there aren't many spectators. Only Allegranza and Roque del Este cast a lazy look from over the water, now and then...

And then, at the far end of the Malpaís, it is the end of the world: Orzola. Even the Ravens turns back at this point.
The lava grimaces from everywhere, the water tumbles and tumbles, and the poor tourist gets dizzy with the amount of oxygen, brought in by the neverending winds.
The Timanfaya Devil has clearly claimed this dramatic place as well.....
You wonder whether any living being could survive in this place
They can. And fortunately, they make a great cup of coffee.
